Pair Of Antique French Empire Crystal Sconces.
A museum quality true antique pair of wall sconces/ lights. The finest quality I have ever seen and I have been heavily involved in the antique sconce market. Crisp mercury gilded gold ormolu mounts with Neoclassical winged allegorical winged adorned on each wall light with florets with an antique distressed French mirrored back with diamond crystal rose hexagonal crystals hand adorned. The quality is so high that it may even be a Russian empire bronze pair. The crystals are so fine and brilliant that they may have been made by Baccarat or the famed and renowned Cristallerie de Paris Art Duverre or Russian Empire Bronze. This pair is 200 years old or older and never electrified and it is in its original non light condition without wiring. Possibly made for candles. Very decorative. Can be fitted for light sockets. The gold is now tarnished showing wear consistent with age. The mirrors are naturally distressed. Organically antiqued. The mirrors are not cracked or chipped. No cracks or breaks or chips on mirrored backs.
