Pair Of Antique Armorial Lion Crown Silvered Sconces Hallmark.
An absolute museum quality pair of Silvered Sconces with most exquisite sharp crisp first quality cast workmanship and detail, worthy of museums, or the Park Avenue Armory antique show. Hallmarked in the front and the back with an impressive crown armorial Motif. Sharp and detailed with a horse and lion adorning the crown with appropriate hallmarks in the center. Very unique feature that the 3 branches on each sconce sit and slide in the back plate. Very good overall condition with the center bobeche on 1 sconce being repaired and soldered as pointed to in an image. With old replacement candle holder in same bobeche as seen in photo, which raises its authenticity. Old professional repair, probably 200 years old. In all original condition never wired. Heavily tarnished.
