Antique Sevres Enamel Urn Jade.
A true antique original sevres urn over 135 years old guaranteed French rare jade green enamel urn. Rich polychrome Champleve bronze enamel with the sought after sevres porcelain integrated with dorè gilt bronze handles and mounts. The bronze is crisp and sharply casted which is indicative of the earliest examples of the multicolored bronze enamel decoration is much like Russian enamel work but is actually the finest French in conjunction with the Sevres manufacturing company of the 19th century. This urn has a magnificent veined onyx base which has a factory drilled hole which was done in case someone wanted to turn it into a lamp. Heavy with solid original bronze plate underneath, like most expensive pieces. No breaks, cracks, or restorations. Signed on bottom of front. Wonderful sevres gilt gold factory mark on back with French manor house, raised gilt decoration. Gilt work a bit tarnished consistent with age. Finial is antique but not original.
