Antique Pair Of Gilt Bronze Gargoyle Sconces.

A very fine antique pair of original recently French rewired.  Approximately 200 years old.    Original guilding now showing natural wear consistent with age.  Having the desirable antique look.  Sharply casted with the griffin Gargoyle having a ferocious expression with its tongue out.  Eyes bulging and feathers on each wing fully defined and articulated.  The quality is very crisp and sharp.  Only found in early French bronze quality pieces.  Measuring 7" tall x 8.5" deep.  Each sconce is able to be turned by design once attached to the wall for various decorative purposes.  All original as artist intended.
