Antique Museum Ruby Moser Egg Jewel box.

The finest example of 19th century about 130 years old moser Bohemian glass egg jewel box.  In remarkable condition with no gold wear, no enamel wear.  All intact with original metal mounts now nicely tarnished with original hinge and a tight closure when the lid is shut to close the egg.  Similar examples illustrated in moser reference books.  Nice bulbous form, rich raised multicolored spring flower decoration.  Feels good when running fingers over decoration.  Brilliant cranberry ruby glass.  Clear, not fogged up or damaged in any way.  No chips, no cracks, no Restorations, no hairlines.  Friends, even next to a faborgé egg collection, this moser egg would look nice and not out of place; in fact it's bigger and more impressive.
