Antique Meissen Large Centerpiece Basket Pink.
An unusually large original marked with the classic swords blue Meissen mark. A palace sized porcelain pink with gold trim basket Meissen centerpiece having a multitude of applied mixed flowers with large roses, tulips, violets as well as other exotic flowers all hand applied and organically placed much like a natural flower garden. Friends, this centerpiece basket is reticulated with the crisp glazed porcelain manufactured over 120 years ago in the Meissen factory. The condition is very good with no breaks or cracks or restorations and as is very common with this type of Meissen, many flowers have chips and flakes and missing petals, but the legs are in mint original condition and the handles are intact. The pink violet color with the gold 24k painted trim is the most unusual color combination in Meissen because over 90% are the more common blue and white pattern.
