Antique Chinese Carved Sculpture Deity Rare.
A true antique original, a real Chinese artifact, over 125 years old, possibly over 200 years old, given the extremely fine carving and detailed workmanship. Fantastic jade color, very heavy, looks to be carved out of exotic precious stone from Asia. Friends, this is the type of article and sculpture figurine that you would see in a museum showcase. Condition good overall with the statue sitting on a base made exclusively for this figurine with a bird carved in the stone of the base. There is a prehistoric looking metal inserted in the back of the sculpture which I point to in one of my images. There is an ancient hairline less than 2" where the metal is inserted in the back. The hairline is not noticeable unless you look for it but it is there and blends in nicely with the texture of the stone.
