Pair of Massive Palace French Antique Sconces.
Antique original very rare because of its massive size:
42" tall x 23" wide
Having 9 candles in each sconce for a total of 18 candles in the pair.
French antique original.
Very high quality sharply cast with gold ormolu. Original guilding now naturally darkened and tarnished giving it the wonderful antique patina which is desirable in Sconces. These Sconces may have been custom made for a wealthy client because of its massive size. About 3' 6" and almost 2' wide!!! These palace French Sconces are fresh out of a gold Coast long Island estate. Not used for many years so may need rewiring. Two candle sleeves are missing. Original guilding, not reguilded. No breaks or repairs. Suitable for a palace!
