Pair of antique chinoiserie French Bronze Sconces.

A pair of museum quality antique original circa 1870's French figural Chinoiserie Ormolu bronze Sconces having its original gilding intact now showing some wear consistent with age of nearly 150 years old giving it an antique gold patina which is most desirable.  Crisp detailed casting with defined facial features on the sculpture part of the Sconces as well as organic foliage and acanthus leaves intertwined on the free flowing branches of each sconce.   In the 1990's at  Christie's and Sotheby's such a pair would go for $3000 to $5000.
