Antique French Bronze Figural Urn.
A true antique French urn in all original condition with rouge royale antique carrara. French gilt Patinated bronze mounts. Integrated bronze Plaque within the marble base. Very detailed crisp and precise Greco Roman design of figures playing musical instruments and dancing on top of the urn. With double rams head handles. Really fine quality which the Italian and French manufacturers of objet de virtu took pride in. No chips or cracks or restorations. The rouge marble is a rare salmon pink, extremely desirable. Nice feel, much like blue John exotic stone. The bronze gilt is now nicely tarnished and darkened consistent with age. This rouge royale I find is just as desirable as Antique blue John Derbyshire stone urn.
