A very rare antique pair of French Baccarat rose opaline gilt bronze mounted egg for jewel boxes.  Perfect matching pair with the hand painted enamel floral decoration.  No gold wear or gilt with the opaline glass showing a rose color when held up to light.  Wonderful pineapple form, nice and sharp finials all original with the hinges nice and alligned to the egg cleanly.  No breaks, cracks, or repairs.
