A Palace Antique European Porcelain Centerpiece.
A Large antique porcelain figural centerpiece all handpainted and hand applied. Over 100 years old guaranteed. Having an important maker's mark underneath with exquisite detail and form. The tree looks life like with colorful applied flowers and foliage. The figural lovers playing hide and seek around the tree trunk with mischievous expressions on their faces. Friends, each flower is hand applied and hand painted where incredibly you can feel each petal and the different formations all naturally executed like a real flower. Amazingly good condition with very few imperfections with one missing flower which I point to in one picture and a couple of minor chips on two or three flowers. Most importantly the hands are in mint condition with all the fingers there and the formations of the hands are life like. From an estate on the legendary Gold Coast of Long Island, NY with the estate dust still on the original integrated basket on top (I have not cleaned it).
Friends, this is a large palace centerpiece measuring 19.5" tall x 13" wide. A very impressive antique object.
Thank you for all your messages and considerable interest in this large 19th century museum porcelain double figural centerpiece. Many of you fine collectors have suggested that this may very well be a Meissen porcelain centerpiece which makes this truly a prized antique because of Meissen being the most sought after porcelain manufacturer of figurines and collectible porcelain. I have taken the time and gently with cotton swabs cleaned the centerpiece with soap and water. Please look at my new pictures in this clean state. Thank you!
