Vintage Pair Of Chinese Cobalt Blue Lamps.
A very interesting pair of vintage cobalt blue porcelain glazed vases all vintage turned into lamps during the mid century Modern period. The measurements all the way to the top of the lamp to where the shade sits including the ebonized based is 39" tall but actual vases is 18". The wiring is from the 1950's or 60's. The vases have a wonderful form like ming vases in a museum with rich glazed cobalt blue almost black color. A very special type of glaze that is very smooth. No breaks, cracks, or repairs. The porcelain has some inconsistencies in the glaze which is normal for a handmade item. Similar pairs on other websites sell for over $5000. This antique pair is extremely decorative and large.
