A magnificent original French over 150 years old superb quality Louis XV Sconces. Crisp cast bronze, 3 branches on each sconce, perfect matching pair, in all original condition. All bronze mounts and adornments original to the piece on each sconce is there intact. Original gold ormolu dorè bronze now nicely tarnished and showing wear consistent with age giving it the wonderful antiqued natural patina. No breaks or restorations or damages. Later rewiring. In working order. This pair of Sconces are the type selling at Sotheby's of London for £6000 to £10000 in the 1990's.
