Mid Century Modern Massive Vintage Abstract Painting 84.5" x 83.5".
Friends, I just pulled from a garage on the north Shore gold Coast of Long Island a massive abstract painting in all original condition. This is the largest of 10 abstract oversized circa 1970's paintings all with the same style with only a few signed Peter Kopf. They all have wonderful colors with this one being the largest and most sophisticated with its few colors and minimalist lines much like a Mark Rothko painting. It measures 83.5" x 84.5" with a applied lucite panel incorporated by the artist in the side center of the painting. It is somewhat dusty and there are minor surface staining from being stored in a garage but nice and clean otherwise. The canvas is in good overall condition. No odors. Nice and dry. Like something you would see in a Soho NYC gallery. I have attended art openings for 30 years in the Chelsea and Soho NYC galleries and this is much like the abstract expressionist paintings you would see there, such as the Brooke Alexander Gallery. I have never offered such a large painting in such good quality in the modernist abstract style.
